In the last two weeks, we have driven to Colorado and back (via Los Angeles, California). One night we were fortunate to see several rainbows. Calyn excitedly exclaimed, "God sure is making a lot of promises." While she did not quite have the correct understanding of the rainbow, I loved that she connected the rainbow to God and his promises. Her statement got me to thinking of all of the promises that God makes to his children. I am thankful that He is God and that even when we do not see the big picture, we can rest in Him, his love, his goodness, and his promises.
